On 15 and 17 November 2024, Laika is staging a new edition of Theatre Storm. This the theatre company is doing in association with the district of Borgerhout as part of ‘Arts Day for Children’.

Theatre Storm gives a class of school children the opportunity to spend a residential week at Matterhorn theatre studios. Under the guidance of three enthusiastic tutors, they work on a topical theme, adopting a visual, dancing and musical approach. The workshop week culminates in a performance for family, friends, local school children and other interested parties.

Theatre Storm is designed for schools that rarely engage in artistic activities or for whom the threshold to the theatre is too high. It is Laika’s way of bridging the gap between art and education.
