The circus, the zoo, the museum, the cinema, and the theatre have all developed out of a common ancestor: the fun-fair, a colourful world of mobile entertainment, light, and noise, where a sensation-seeking crowd meets strange and exciting show characters.

Sensazione is a colourful carnival where show people bombard you with tales of wonder and extraordinary requests. Once you part the gateway, you are free to roam the fairground. But the attractions also need your physical energy and enthusiasm: they won’t start moving until you use your muscles. Sensazione is a theatrical fairground that expands to the rhythm of your heart.

Laika and Time Circus seek interaction between performers and spectators and believe that theatre can pull down boundaries between them. It is no accident that they have joined forced to create the Sensazione fairground.

Time Circus Collective is a travelling company from Antwerp. The commitment and daring with which they build their machines are impressive. It brings plays in which man blends with machine and the actor merges with his props. Time Circus calls it circunst (circ-art).
