Blue Monday is a test of endurance by 9 young people. In this energetic theater trip they depict their attempt to make something of life: from the great desire to be needed or to love, to the small desire to be a child again. They all try to reach the finish line. In the meantime, the pace is constantly increasing.

For Blue Monday, theater makers Eva De Baets and Silke De Bruyne go on location to a real gymnastics hall in a real school. The smell of sweaty gymnastics shoes wanders through the unexpected challenges.

Blue Monday was originally created as a location project in the context of the city festival BLOK-BLOC 2018, with the support of Laika and hetpaleis.
