A knight's distress is hard to guess (Ridderverdriet zie je niet) is about the lion hearts and chicken livers. About opening up new horizons. And about the fear of walking away from the familiar into the unknown.
Gerda Dendooven, Jo Roets and Marianne Burgers are fascinated by shiny suits of armour and princesses’ tresses. After Soup Sisters (Soepkinders), this is the second production for large theatres created by this threesome, a knights’ adventure with hidden sorrows with music by Peter Vermeersch.
"Two knights we are, / Stout-hearted ones, I tell you, / And most brave of them all! / Them, Belgians, we mean"
